Overview
A grand South India pilgrimage and sightseeing circuit covering the sacred temples of Tirupati, the cultural heritage of Madurai, the holy island of Rameshwaram, and the southernmost tip at Kanyakumari.
Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Tirupati – Transfer from Chennai or Tirupati Airport/Station. Check in. Visit Padmavathi Temple at Tiruchanur. Evening darshan at Sri Venkateswara Temple (Lord Balaji) at Tirumala. Overnight in Tirupati.
Day 2: Tirupati to Madurai – Drive to Madurai (approx 7-8 hrs). Check in. Evening visit Meenakshi Amman Temple for darshan and Alankara Darshan. Overnight in Madurai.
Day 3: Madurai Sightseeing – Morning visit Meenakshi Temple again (morning rituals). Thiruparankundram Murugan Temple, Pazhamudir Cholai, Gandhi Memorial Museum, Koodal Azhagar Temple. Evening visit Vandiyur Mariamman Teppakulam. Overnight in Madurai.
Day 4: Madurai to Rameshwaram – Drive to Rameshwaram (approx 3-4 hrs). Check in. Visit Ramanathaswamy Temple (22 sacred theerthams), Agniteertham Beach. Overnight in Rameshwaram.
Day 5: Rameshwaram Sightseeing – Visit Dhanushkodi (Land's End), Pamban Bridge view, Kothandaramaswamy Temple, Adam's Bridge viewpoint. Return to hotel. Evening aarti at Ramanathaswamy Temple. Overnight in Rameshwaram.
Day 6: Rameshwaram to Kanyakumari – Drive to Kanyakumari (approx 4 hrs). Visit Vivekananda Rock Memorial and Thiruvalluvar Statue by ferry. Sunset point at the Triveni Sangam (confluence of Bay of Bengal, Arabian Sea and Indian Ocean). Overnight in Kanyakumari.
Day 7: Kanyakumari Departure – Early morning sunrise at Kanyakumari (one of the most spectacular sunrises in India). Visit Bhagavati Amman Temple. Transfer to Trivandrum or Nagercoil Airport/Station for departure.
